Before Care Instructions (Fillers)
48 hours before:
- Avoid alcohol
- Avoid NSAIDs (ibuprofen, aspirin), fish oil, and vitamin E unless prescribed
- Avoid tanning or sunburn

Day of appointment:
- Arrive with clean, makeup-free lips
- Eat a normal meal
- Notify provider of any history of cold sores (antiviral medication may be recommended)
Aftercare Instructions (Fillers)
Immediately After (Day 1–2):
- Swelling, firmness, mild tenderness, and small lumps are normal
- Apply cool compresses (10 minutes at a time)
- Avoid touching or massaging unless instructed
- Avoid intense exercise and alcohol
- No makeup on lips for 24 hours
Days 3–7:

- Continue staying hydrated
Avoid For 1–2 Weeks:
- Dental procedures
- Tanning beds, sauna, steam rooms
